My family including my 16 year old son are planning a trip to A.C. in the spring. My son suffers from mild cerebral palsey and has difficulty walking long distances. He also doesn't ride a bicycle. We were thinking of staying at the Sunbreeze, the Palms (may be too expensive) or Exotic Caye. We really liked Xanadu but I don't wish to have to rent a golf cart all the time. Any comments or suggestions for us?

Sunbreeze seems the best choice- nearest to center of town yet peaceful. Nice pool. Good restaurant.

Have you looked at the ground floor units at The Blue Tang Inn or the AquaMarina Suites?

Mayan Princess may also be a good choice. Close to everything.

Consider Ramons too - it is close to town- definitely walking distance - but quiet (next to the Palms)

We just stayed at SunBreeze - our first visit to AC and would highly recommend SunBreeze due to the amenities and closeness to town (and BCs!). We were at Palms and Ramons and although those are very nice, too - I think it would be easier for your son to get around the walkways and use the wide open deck areas at SunBreeze.

Aqua Marina is my recommendation to her. plus it is right on the water, sunbreeze is a ways back from the water
