I can't remember if we had to prebook the flight from the mainland of Belize to AC or just show up. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks.

Show up. Pick the shortest line - Maya or Tropic and get your ticket then head to Jet's Bar to offically kick off your vacation. Do yourself a favor if you like beer and get a Belikin stout at Jet's and a hot dog while you wait for your transfer to San Pedro or wherever.

Thanks, Robert. I thought that is what we did last time. I remember getting beer at the airport, but didn't know where. My husband said that we pre-booked but I remembered differently. Why prebook when you can get tickets the day of. 23 days and counting until AC!! cool laugh smile

Robert,

The only thing I question is your apparent taste for mostly raw, cool to the touch, hot dogs slathered in catsup and mayonaise.

Yup, tried that a couple times, as usual I never seem to learn. The beer however is cold, but not a very good compliment to the main meal.

I book in advance so I don't have to carry the extra cash with me...just one less thing to deal with.

About that hotdog.......they don't look so good but in reality are pretty tasty. There's the zig-zag of mustard with the line of ketchup in the middle, a dollop of mayo on top of it and then the splash of something red on the mayo [it's Marie's hotsauce] & a sprinkling of onion. Swirl all that suff around and indulge...of course, with one of Jet's famous rum punch!

Choo Choo - Maybe the beer clouded my taste buds. Anything is better than what Continental serves up as food on the way down. The hotdogs stave off hunger until I can run from the airstrip after landing in San Pedro to BC's to induldge in one of Charlene's burritos and a cold beer served by her great staff of adult beverage providers.

Hot Dog?!! Man, there is a restraunt upstairs in Belize City airport where you can can get some some great fried conch or a grouper sandwich. These I vouch for. Lot more on the menu we haven't tried.

Had some great armadillo stew in the upstairs restaurant. Watch out for broken bones! Seems they butcher with an axe...or machete.
