Do Maya Island and Tropic Air accept credit cards for the flight from the mainland to AC? We like the frequent flyer miles for charges on our card, so would like to use it for the transfers.

We're staying at Banana Beach in a few weeks, and I e-mailed them our flight times. They booked our flights - the airline charges them and they charged our card. Easiest airline reservations I've ever made laugh

Tropic Air accepts credit cards. I made our reservations a couple months ago, but didn't pay for them until we checked in at the counter at flight time. No hassles. Jean

Some of the big airlines should have taken a lesson from Tropic and Maya and kept things nice and simple, and customer-focused. If they did, they might still be around or not begging for aid every month.

Well, there's a *little* difference between purchasing and maintaining a few hundred Boeing 7-somethings or Airbuses and flying them all over the world versus a handfull of Cessnas covering a few hundred miles of airspace. smile

Not that I'm defending Big Air as I have a deep disrespect for several of the major carriers. And although some people argue with me, I've always had good experiences with Continental, everywhere I've flown them. Interesting to note they're not one of the several who are very near the brink, at present.

Good riddance, United and US Airways.

My kids think the Tropic flight every year is a big part of the fun. I agree. Great people and a great way to run an (Belizean) airline.

Mayan Air accepts CC's, too. Sooo easy...made reservations online & paid with the CC at the desk. Everything was ready & waiting for us...took a whole 5 min. Before I knew it, was in the departure lounge having a rum punch. wink
