Which should we use?
If we arrive at 3:30pm in BC, do we have enough time to catch a 4:30pm to AC?

I just asked the same question, from what I was told either or is fine, most popular seems to be Tropic. It is just around the corner in the airport and if you miss they fly every 15 minutes and if it is full they will fly another one over. It seems to be no big deal.

Right now prices on Maya Island are a good bit lower than on Tropic -- 20% in some cases. Maya Island cut its fares; Tropic raised some of its fares. How long this will last, I don't know. Traditionally the fares have been roughly the same.

You usually get what you pay for.

With cost increases in all phases of commercial aviation world wide, were are they cutting costs in order to decrease fares?

MAYA AIR - excellent flts this past week. NICE LEATHER SEATS (or they looked) ... fares were much less than Tropic (maybe 10-20%) .... Excellent recommendation - I'm a seasoned airline employee travelers of 25 years... MAYA AIRLINES was great.

With new ownership, Maya Island has been investing in new equipment and new facilities. They've got some new planes, a nice new "terminal" in Placencia and a big, newish building at the municipal airstrip. They've also been expanding their service -- to San Ignacio for example.

Once I'm in the plane, I can't tell much difference in either one. Schedule and price -- those seems to be the main things these days, on airlines anywhere including Belize.
