Are there beach towels for sale (cheap) in AC?
We were told by our hotel to bring our own & that takes up a lot of suitcase space.

Beach towels are about $15 US in some gift shops, up to $35 in others for the same towels. Of course, these are souvenir towels, and have maps of Belize, the Belikin logo, etc.

Bowen Distributors (Belikin), sells Belikin beach towels for around $10, and are across from Island Supermarket.

I've bought nice big fluffy bath towels, in a little shop on Middle Street, near the casino. Wasn't as much as the souvenir towels and much better quality.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

It"s worth taking your own Towels, we have on all our trips no matter where we go. The ones you buy are thin and small. Take the plunge and take 2 less shirts or dresses and use your own big fluffy towel every day. You will thank everyone for there suggestion.

Take your own towels in the "suck" bags. Can't think of the real name but you wouldn't believe what it downsizes items to.

But do you have to tote your own vaccuum to re-suck it when you're ready to come home? Good lungs?

No, you don't need to get the vacuum bags. You can buy the similar bags that you just roll the air out of. They are actually great for things like towels and jackets. In any event, you just put your towel in the bag, roll it and the air gets pushed out, the whole package squishes sort of flattish and as long as you don't pooch the seal, it works like a hot damn. On the other hand, they aren't so good with the rest of your clothes if you were thinking that you'd get there without any wrinkles in them (as the advert claims). For me, I use them for my fleecy, shorts and a couple of bathing suits. Bags still weigh heavy but I can fit what I like into a smaller carry on and into my checked bags.
