What is the latest news about building a bridge to go over the cut? Are there any plans to improve the golf cart path North of the cut? Until a bridge is in place and the path is improved, I can't see major development north of the cut being successful.

No money for bridge. Lots of successful development north of the cut. How long since you were here?

I am actually against major development. I enjoy the laid back, quiet style of AC. I was in AC about a year ago and was told by a time share salesmen and someone who worked at one of the resorts about major development going on North of the cut. Developments included resorts by Hilton & Marriott, a golf course and a paved road. Don't know if they were telling the truth... Isn't it funny what they will tell you when they are trying to sell you something? (I didn't buy it)

I thought all chains were illegal in San Pedro, like Marriot, Hilton, MacDonalds, Wal Mart. The small island life and the hand pulled ferry are two things that I like. I know that things will change but hopefully some things will stay the same.

Big chains are not illegal but they aren't interested. They need more volume than our little airstrip can provide. Lets hope it stays that way.
