Man oh man! This week has already started off crazy. Leaving for Belize on Thursday. Found out yesterday (Sunday) that I needed new tires for the car. Found out this morning when I took the car in that I needed [bold]4[/bold] new tires. No worries though, just a minor set back. Nothing is going to get me down this week! smile

Work is pretty much non-existent for me right now. I’m trying to find the least amount of work I can do to still make me look busy but that’s not too taxing. You shouldn’t even have to come into work the week of your vacation. It should be a crime to make people come into work the week of their vacation. Everyone knows you’re not going to get any actual work done. I find myself getting an attitude when I actually HAVE to do something smile . Oh well, 3 more days until official vacation time!

Believe it or not Hubby is having the problems with packing confused . I’ve started packing some things but not everything. I will finish packing this afternoon though and then I have to help Hubby get his stuff packed. For those who are interested, I’ll include our packing list in another thread.

Uh-oh! I think Bandit knows something’s up. We try not to let him see suitcases because he knows we’re going to be leaving soon when he sees them, but I think he’s on to us. Bandit actually gets excited when we leave on vacation because that means he gets to go to his Dranma’s (Grandma’s) house in the country. He has acres and acres of land to roam around on and he absolutely loves to go fishing with Dranma. As she reels in the fish, he goes out to try and retrieve it confused . When he comes back he’s always filthy and happy, until he gets a bath wink . I’m already going to miss the lil’ fella.

YAY! Today is actually my last official day of work before vacation. Tomorrow I have to drop Bandit off, pick up some last minute snacks for the trip, finish packing, and drive to Charlotte. We will fly out of Charlotte because it was $150 cheaper per person than flying out of Atlanta. Plus Charlotte is only about 3 hours from us. Heck I drive that amount to and from work everyday!

Coming soon: Thursday, October 29th - Day of Running

Lovely to hear about your woa's on leaving Bandit. We have no children so our 2 babies (golden retrievers) are the kids.... It is so sad to leave them!!! We were able to leave them at a relatives who also has acres and acres and the filthy pond however the last time we left them there, their dogs ganged up on our girl and attacked her. Poor baby. Now we are stuck finding someone to stay in our house to watch them while we are gone. Ho hum....

Looking forward to your next report!

Malibu, sorry to hear about your baby. We don't have kids either and Bandit is our numero uno. When we went on vacation back in January, my Mom went with us so we had to put Bandit in an extended daycare. He LOVED it. The dogs all have free run of the place including the outside fenced area so they have to go through a temperament test beforehand. The larger dogs are separated from the smaller dogs and they have a doggie webcam, so we were able to log on and check on Bandit while we were on vacation laugh . When we picked Bandit up from my Mom's the other day, he had a big ol' tick on his forehead. It's the first time he's ever gotten a tick before. Of course, he gets all his shots so hopefully no nasty lime disease.

I'm trying to get the trip reports together but I find myself getting more and more long winded, so bear with me. I hope others don't mind the length of the reports. Everyone was so helpful to me, I want to return the favor.

Uh, Fuzzy, if you're long winded I'm strolling along the beach on AC instead of being cooped up in the house watching dreary rain! wink

Let the words start rollin' so we can dream cool

I'd also like to add the time it takes to prepare a trip report is verrry much appreciated.
