Hi kids, yes i miss it already. A few things that i learned. Take half the clothes that you think you need. It rained a couple of days and i never thought of putting on a long sleeve shirt for anything except bugs. Eat at Shirleys, and other "small" local places. They are easy to find, just watch for school kids gathering around noon. Try to see both extreme ends of AC, it's worth the cart ride to get there. If you want to drink anything except Rum buy it at the duty free store, ex. Vodka at duty free $9.00 (US) per 750 ml, in AC same bottle was $35.00. Do buy the rum on AC, sweet! Have an open mind, the locals are wonderful and love to talk and share thier culture. Do not go to AC if you want Cancun, it's like buying a dog when you want a cat. Have fun!!!

I'm so glad you had a good time...funny how that little island steals your heart!

Big laugh about the clothes...next time, I'm taking 1/3 of what I "think" I'll need.

The locals are wonderful people and is what really makes la isla bonita the special place it is. Planning the return trip yet? lol

I like the thought of buying a dog when you wanted to a cat. Anyone want to buy a dog?

javaman,

One problem. The Rojas blend you left us was cause for three full pots to be brewed EVERY morning. We couldn't get the other 5 couples to stay put and drink their own miserable dreck. I can see why it is one of your favorites. I hid the rest until they all left on Saturday, and we had four days to ourselves.
