so if I arrive in AC and love it so much I want to stay longer than the 30 days allotted by immigration in Belize City, where do I go in SP to get added time? I definitely would like to avoid a trip to BC smile

Thanks in advance.

I don't think you have any other option BUT to go back to BC.

However, if I'm wrong - you'll know, trust me!

There is an immigration office in the mall, right behind the elementry school. You can extend your stay there, no need to go to B.C.

PS: there are notices posted in all Wal-Mart Stores (KLC)

PS. the location of the immigrations office has changed to the "galleria" across from Fido's...second floor.

hahahaha good one - must be why I;m behind the times IM.

Well, I can rest easy now. Everyday I try to learn something new and thx to BigE, today's mission accomplished ( and of course, the Prez).

But make sure you report at that office BEFORE your initial 30 days is up.

Once when I did this, I had to prove that I had the $$ to stay (even though I own a business). Just a heads up....

Usually they want to see your return ticket. If none...they wanna see your bank book. Me thinks they just whanna be assured that the Government of Belize does not hafta buy your return ticket.

I don't know why they are so picky anyway, it would be the Government of the U.S. that would have to pay the return ticket, or if that didn't work, Belize would just dump you over the border into Mexico. My theory is that every time someone in Belizean immigration is denied a visa to the U.S., they hassle a gringo.
