We want to make reservations for a friend as a thank you. We are looking for something less expensive but still giving little luxuries. For instance, no sharing of bathrooms, air conditioning a must, and a view would be great. Is Beachfront at Ruby's the best? Any other suggestions? Thanks guys!!

Try Banana Beach; excellent quality rooms with A/C. Ruby's doesn't have A/C.

Corona del Mar! Woody's has nice rooms, AC, frig in room, TV, phone and absolutely a wonderful staff, close enough to town to walk. Good value for your $$. As you can probably tell, it's my favorite place to stay every trip to paradise.

Believe the newer (three or four years old) beachside rooms at Ruby's all have A/C. But I agree that Banana Beach and Corona del Mar are excellent and if you get one of the lower priced rooms they are a terrific value.

I have to agree, Banana Beach rooms are nice and inexpensive.Plus, you cannot beat the breakfast included, as another perk to the air conditioning, two pools and one hell of a staff.

If your friend don't have to have a pool, you can't beat the view from the balconies at the Mayan Princess. Close to everything, A/C, lots of room, TV and good value for your $$$.

Check out Hotel del Rio. they have some units with AC, are on the beach, great staff as well and very reasonable. No restaurant or pool, but coffee in the morning, great little seating area to get aquinted,nice dock to swim from, quiet at night, close to Papi's Diner, bakery, Dalia's store........why AC?????
