My husband and I returned from AC after a dive trip (stayed at Ramon's) We liked it so much we are returning and taking his 3 kids plus their husbands and wives back in November. We are considering the Palms as we need kitchens and we loved the location. Anybody have any insight as to their quality? Thanks!

First rate, as far as I am concerned. The units are nice and clean, beautiful views, small but beautiful pool. The staff is helpful, Ana is a nice person to deal with. Pics if you're interested.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply and the pics. May I ask another question? We ate at a lot of great restaurants and was wondering if we should explore outside the city limits. Any recommendations?

City limits? I must have missed the sign.

No limits to the great food available, far south to upper north.

I stand corrected...how 'bout outside of walking distance?
Saw somewhere else that you are going to Bonaire. Have you been yet?

Was in Bonaire in 99. Leaving for there again in 3 weeks.
You can hit some of the places north, by water taxi or some of the places south. We've never bothered to travel that far for the ambiance, we like the spots in town the best.

Regarding Bonaire. My information is that the national dishes on that island are goat stew, iguana soup and tripe. Is anybody jealous?

Bobber,

Is that the 2-BR "Executive" condo in your pics? I was just curious because the Palms quotes different rates for a 2-BR and 2-BR "Executive."

Nice pics, bobber. Not jealous at all! What exactly besides french fries was on the seafood platter from Papi's?

Yeah, that was the executive. Top floor center units. The second bedroom is a level up the stairs. Ours had 2 double beds and a bath up there. We were there for 5 days, and then moved to a second floor two bedroom unit (south side). We actually liked this unit better although the view was obscured a bit by a palm tree. This one was 1 and half bath, and also had a larger rear veranda over the pool area. This back end was nice during showers or if it was windy and gave us a spot to store our dive gear. It doesn't show in the pics, but the verandas had eye hooks, and you could rent a hammock for a few bucks. We also looked at the 1 bedroom units, and they were spacious and well furnished also. I like the place.
