Hi; I hate to admit this, but yes, I am a newbie, and I am going to be one of those people who will be asking a lot of silly questions. I am planning my first trip to AC next month, and I will be traveling solo. Am looking for a quiet and relatively out-of-the-way place to stay. Could anyone help me with their opinions on the Coral Reef Villas? I am planning on seeing as much as possible, so I will need some accessibility, too. Any comments on snorkeling the Blue Hole, Tikal, or jungle tours? No, sorry, I am not a diver...
ANY advice will be greatly appreciated!! Jancie

My husband weddingmooned there two years ago and had the absolute best time of our life. We are actually looking into going again this year, with some friends.
We stayed at Captain Morgan's and it was everything we wanted. I can't really give any recommendations on other places to stay.
We did all of our diving with Amigos Del Mar and loved them. We actually booked another trip through someone else and did not like them as best. Lots of excellent places to eat. You'll see the names on this board: Capricorn, Caliente's, Elvis, Reef Restaurant, Blue Water Grill (?)and many other great places.
You will find this board extremely helpful. I gained all of my knowledge from this board and when I was there it truly felt like home. I can't wait to go back and I can't wait to introduce my daughter to this wonderful island and warm people.
Good luck and enjoy your trip.
