not sure on best place, but get a gas cart, they run forever on a fillup, and it's up to your body on how far you can go north or south(very bumpy)we went south past the dump, until we found the road underwater. The kid(being me) wanted to try and go farther, but the older body(mine) decided it was wayyy too far to walk. Then turned around and went to all the way though town and north over the ferry and up past captin morgan's. Take my advice go south one day, north the other and if your in a hurry better wear a kidney belt.

If they tell you it won't work over satellite, they didn't try hard enough!

Go with electric, less fumes and you just turn them in when they are running low...they are quieter too...IMHO...JOHN denver

The electric carts range depends on how many riders, how full a charge it has when you start (don't assume it is "fully" charged when you get it). With a fully charge cart, and two riders, you should be able to make it as far south as you want to go and then a few miles north and back with no problem. Our last trip, with 4 adults, two of them being hefty, we made it south, then up to the Palapa bar, where it fizzled. I might suggest if you are going north and south, go north first.
