Hi everyone
We are visiting in April and want to do a few of the trips (cave tubing, a few snorkeling trips, maybe a sunset cruise.) It seems like the hotel prices are higher than the local tour companies, so we thought we would just plan when we get there. Can anyone suggest a good company? We saw Excalibur and Monkey Business Travel Shoppe online and both had good prices. Does anyone have any experience with them, or can you recommend another place? And..... can we plan there or should we call ahead and plan our trip beforehand?
Thanks!

Monkey Biz, located at Banana Beach, hosts an excellent staff who will bend over backwards for you.

There are plenty of wonderful tour companies around. No need to set up early. Clinton at Ocean Adventures is good. He can be found at the Exotic Caye Beach Resort (www.belizeisfun.com).

Thanks guys but usually I do not pre arrange the tours/day trips unless there is something specific, or unusual, the client is looking for. As you both know, it's very easy to arrange tours once you are on the island. For larger groups or specific dates/tours you may want to arrange in advance. Lots of great tour shops on the island and the ones at the hotels may sometimes be a bit higher priced but not usually and not for everything, plus they are way convenient. Feel free to email me for more info if needed.

And in April there's certainly no need to book diving in advance, and there are some good reasons why you should have a look around first before committing yourself.
