Has anyone stayed at this resort? What's it like to stay "in town" and any suggestions on how to spend the first night?

Jude, haven't stayed there but use the search feature above and you will, more than likely, find some info.

As far as staying in town, it was perfect for us. We were on the northern side of town and it was fairly quiet but within a ten minute stroll to the center of town. We could go eat, shop, stroll the beach any time we wished and didn't need a golf cart or bicyles. Do rent a cart and explore at least one day...an adventure not to be missed.

For the first night, just do anything your heart desires. After hopping off your flight to SP, check the bulletin board beside the terminal door {Mayan Air; don't know about Tropic) for a listing of the daily scheduled activities. At least, it was there last May. Ramon's BBQ on Tue., Chicken Drop on Wed., BC's BBQ on Sun. It will really depend on what day you arrive. Just have fun!
