Staying at Belizean Shores
If I want to go to the Palaba Bar or Hamiltion House
Can we get off of the Ferry at those stops and later go to Town. Does one fare count one way($5)or do we have to pay each trip?????

the island "Ferry" is a 10X12 floating boat dock that is pulled by a rope about about 30 feet....that is as far as it goes...I think you are talking water just like a taxi...(more like a train) you have to get on the north or south taxi, tell them where you want to go, pay time tell them where to stop, pay them....

No, the Island Ferry boats run on the hour at night after 5 and every other hour during the day. I think it would probably cost you another 5 dollars to get back on and ride.

Mustardgirl, by the way you'll love the Belizean Shores. By far the best pool we saw last week. Do me a favor and tell the Girl at the gift shop hi from the Wedding Cake Guy.

Thanks and will give regards
I am a little hesitant staying at Belizean shores and the cost and difficulty getting to San Pedro and points south. But the price of the room was very good($99)

Look at staying in town at The Tides - basic but clean with a pool and beach bar. Mata Rocks is nice too as well as Blue Tang. All close to town without the hassle of the water taxi and all have pools too.

One question, why not ask Belizean Shores this question? They may have their own boats running at scheduled times that you could arrange to have pick you up on the way back. It's not a big deal getting from Belizean Shores into town as it's easily accessible by golf cart, bike or water taxi.

SimonB is right. Ask Hatcher, he runs the activity center on the dock at Belizean Shores, if he is going into town, when he is leaving and returning and if you can ride along. I stayed there last August and that's what I did. If Hatcher's schedule doesn't fit with yours, then do the water taxi (SCHEDULE??? In San Pedro??? What am I saying!!!). If you ae going into town in the day time, either a golf cart or bike makes a nice trip. At night, I wouldn't recommend a golf cart though since the road (really a path!) is not lit at all and very dark. You will LOVE Belizean Shores........especially the pool! cool

They (Belizean Shores) were very good about giving people rides to town. They have 2 boats and make serveral trips a day. Hatcher was also very good at lining up activities. Also check out the 4:30 Volleyball game.
