Hello! I am looking for a rental for 3 1/2 months which will allow a dog. I need a one bed, one bath, with kitchenette no farther than Banyon Bay distant south and all the way to the river cut heading north. If anyone can help or direct me somewhere, I greatly appreciate it!

There's a new development still under construction near the mini golf. The front is finished, Casa David is the name. I think it's $400 or $500 a month and the rooms seem very clean, but no AC or TV, if that matters to you.

If you are interested I can go there and find a number for you and take some pictures.

Is it possible if I pay and am responsible for the monthly fees, can I get DSL or cable modem installed in the apartment, as I will need to access it regularly Mon-Thur for work back in the states. There is (or was) a $500US deposit required from BTL for installing a phone line and DSL for non-residents (or residents with less than one year in-country.) The only other way is to get someone to sign up for you in their name, the deposit then is $125US. Not sure about the cable company policies.

There still is a deposit of $500 US for a phone line, and another $50 US a month for DSL. Also from what I've heard, BTL is VERY S-L-O-W in refunding deposits. For 3-4 months, your best bet would be the internet cafes. They're high-speed, and much cheaper for short term usage. They have no problem with set-ups for your own laptop either. But if money is no object...you could get your own line set up in a few days once you move in.

As for rentals, check the classifieds in the Sun once you get here. There's always a few in there if you don't get any leads on the board.

kayesscee, thank you, but internet cafes will NOT work... I have been to San Pedro numberous times and know the cafes are great and fast.... but I will be using the internet 4 hrs a day, 5 days a week for my work back to the states!!! and calling through my computer on the phone too... I need to have unlimited internet. If anyone knows a place to rent which will allow me to install internet I'd greatly appreciate help.

ke, you can get the San Pedro Sun delivered to your home in the US. I have done this and enjoyed seeing what all is was going on. There are always a number of rental ads. When are you planning on being in San Pedro? indygal
