Great pics, especially when I am looking outside here at home to a foggy, cold winter day. The pics of the Belikins were clever!

I did set up a few Belikin bottle pics, but didn't compose them correctly. Yours are perfect. I also have a great pic of the lobster at Papi's (with french fries). It takes a warped mind (so I have been informed) to take a picture of your plate in a restaurant, but apparently I am not the only one who does it. Only when it is very special, tho. laugh

Bobber,
Well, it was not my warped mind that took the picture of the lobster, it was someone elses, cuz I would not take a picture of my plate wink . Those are stew beans and rice, not fries!

I guess that you will just have to go back to get the Belikin pictures, thats a good excuse to go,all though some of us really do not need reasons to go, I for one dont.i just need vacation time! cool

LaurieMar,
yes, those pictures, do help in warming a cold 11 degree day. smile But it just makes you wish that you were there even more.

Great pics!! Maybe I should send your pic to the single guys in my group since we'll be there same time in May <g>!

Looking at all the views and photos makes me want to go back there right now! It definitely looks like the entrance to Banana Beach has changed since we were there in April. I made sure to book my oceanfront suite in the original wing though as you just cant beat that view!

I love the Beliken tribute, I have a couple of pics like that myself I took last year!

Danl&the Boop,
No, they did not discover any ruins on AC, that was from my trip with Searious to AlTunHa/Maruba. I guess you never did that one,did ya?

Andrea,
haha, I think tall blonde was a good enough description smile
Yes they did change the front of the hotel, it looks really good with the outdoor dining area.It really changed alot since August, for the better of course. The travel shoppe is also a nice addition.

Becky,
yes, I do love Bananas,a whole bunch!! laugh

Hi Jackie,

Loved the photos! I especially liked the fact that you showed both sunny days and some storm photos. It looks like the weather didn't stop you from having a wonderful time and that is great!! What aspect of your trip did you enjoy most?

Re: Pictures from Christmas and New Years Trip - 01/16/03 02:27 PM

Mexicana,
Thank you, I really had not choice in taking the pictures in the rain, since it rained for about 6 days out of the 10.That also another reason there arent many pictures, like the August 2002 set.

No, the rain did not stop me from enjoying myself, I just kept thinking I dont't care if it snows.I would rather be here than home.It did stop me from alot of tours though(I am not one for being on a boat in the middle of the ocean in the freezing rain),Which was okay since I did alot in my last two trips, that I did not feel like I was losing out.I know others did though, which I felt bad, cuz they missed out on alot.

My favorite aspect was personal. I got to spend time with Thalia on her birthday and Christmas.Watching her open her presents that I brought her and her eyes all glowy.Of course, didnt think to take pictures of that.

The other was also personal,it was the second Christmas without my parents, so that is why I decided to go at this time. On Christmas Day, a group of us went out with Tulu on the boat and went North and started to bar hop on the way back. We went to Avalon, which is closed, then Kittys Place, then ?(this place was cool, but I do not remember the name),then Coconuts and ordered pizza, then ended up at El Divino for a late dinner. It was fantastic.I just kept thinking my mother would kill me if she knew I was bar hopping and eating pizza on Christmas Day,but she knew and she knew I was happy.

New Years Eve was also good, went out on the Winnie Estelle,El Divino for dinner(Surf and Turf),excellent, stayed at the Martini Lounge, went to Coconuts, went to Ramons, then Jaguars, then hung in the street til about 4. The truth is I could have done without the last three and just stayed at Coconuts, but it was cool. San Pedro, Times Square style :p .

This trip I met some of the best people ever on vacation, tourists and regular trip takers.Spent alot of time with my "adopted" daughter. All in all, each trip I take gets better and better. cool .

Finally, the sun came out for the last 4 days and I had a chance to lay out and come home with a decent tan.

Did you ask for all this, sorry?

Jackie
