This service is made possible and will continue to be made possible with the support of every Island Ferry passenger. Over the years Island Ferry has supplied various needs and services to the island above and beyond Island Ferry’s primary purpose of transporting locals and guest to all points on Ambergris Caye.

All these vital functions are performed free of charge as a service to the island. In the case of life threatening medical emergencies Island Ferry ceases all scheduled runs to respond to the crises. The office is turned into a command and control center staffed by medically trained dispatchers and the Island Ferry fleet is directed immediately to the medical emergency where medically trained captains provide medical first response and evacuation to one of the Island MD’s.
