budget but nice place to stay? - 03/25/03 10:54 PM

I am headed to Belize this Saturday and am looking for a budget place to stay, but would like a pool, AC and a clean comfortable place, any suggestions? Is it possible to play in a decent place for less than $100 USD?

Coconuts is close at $110..new pool and Rest.

I stayed there before all that and loved it...The same guy who use to own it owns Banana Beach. All say it's great...Look at the map on this site for locations.
AC rocks...in a quiet way.

Banana Beach, Two pools and really nice rooms for $68 to $100 a night......you won't be sorry.

Seven Seas is good too. I went a couple years back and got a room there for $69!!! I'm assuming they've gone up a bit..... Pool is small but adequate. The rooms have a little living room and fully equipped kitchen. I really liked the location as well. Papi's diner is just over the back fence. GREAT place to eat. Very convenient. It was clean and cheerful.
I stayed at Coconuts as well. I liked it too, but it was $89 a night when I stayed there. Of course that was before the pool and restaurant had been added.

Try Paradise Resort Hotel. Rooms as little as in the $70's.

beacon,

I for one, would like to highly discourage you form choosing Banana Beach. I just returned from a month long stay at with them. The location is perfect, the facilities are warm and inviting with flowering plants everywhere, the rooms are clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and well equipped, the staff, including housekeeping, front desk and travel shop were terrific, the restaurant is second to none on the island and I'm afraid if to many people find out about it, the next time I go to AC I won't be able to get a room at BB.

If you decide not to take my advice and end up staying there anyway, give Anna a big hug from me.
