My husband and I are coming to Ambergis Caye in a week, and still haven't decided on a hotel. I would love to be able to snorkel from the hotel or from a short kayak ride out to the reefs. Are there any place that are perfect for this?

The Reef get closer as you go north.... therefore the shortest kayak trips to the reef are the hotels furthest north.... Tranquility bay would be the absolute closest. Downside... your a looong way from town, but a really beautiful place.

And it's very peaceful up there. Did anyone mention the free boat ferry?
