After all these years of trying to figure out how to get ice cream home from town --- Manelly's home-made ice cream is in the freezer at Mata Grande Grocery - at prices that make sense.
For those who do not know, the MG Grocery is about a mile north of Journey's End, behind Caye Villas. Jason and Mandy Frankle are the owner-operators. Nice people, cute place with all the basics you need but forgot to bring home from the store ........... including ICE CREAM.
Follow the Mata Grande road, or walk down the beach and take the well marked sandy lane from beach to grocery. Yum.

This is terrible!!!!! I used to be safe from my sweet cravings now I just walk to the back for delicious ice cream, pizza, and bread. What is this area coming to? It is really annoying because Mandy and Jason are so nice that I can't even use that as an excuse to not indulge.The Manellis vanilla cones with chocolate topping are amazing!

I get my best consultations over a dish of good ice cream.
