OK....I'm gonna stick my neck out again...as I often do...and usually regret later...LOL

I would like to discuss with all the ladies...young and old, about the dangers of Paradise....LOL

This is really a continuation of the topic about parties and wild times.

When you come to paradise...especially un-escorted by male companionship....you must be very careful who you hook up with.

It's gonna happen....because your in paradise....and the breeze is blowin'.....and the nights are warm and sultry....then some local guy walks up and speaks to you with that soft caribbean music.....your gonna get hooked!

Been there....done that...got lucky and actually found a good one...married him!

But it just as easily could have gone a different way.

This tiny little island is no stranger to STD's (sexually transmitted diseases). They don't come wearing labels, so you won't know who does or doesn't have it.

This island being so small, the numbers here are actually higher than say your avg. small town in the US. Education about AIDS and STD's is not as prevalent here as it is in the states. So Beware!

If you plan on auditioning for the next lead role in "How Stella Got Her Groove Back"...
Be choosey....and use a condom...LOL

They do have GOOD supplies of those here! [Linked Image]

OK....that is the end of ISLAND SEX 101....LOL

Good reporting my daughter, somone needed to give this info, so all can stay safe and healthy. Remember visitors/Lovers come from all over the world bringing STD's to San Pedro. My advice is to bring your Lover with you from home, and you will not be tempted.

Way ta go HOT ROD! I'm proud ta know ya. Little Miss Sifting Sands forgot ta mention that the other thing ta watch out for is over-intoxication. Ya can have a nice time, but ya must keep yo head about ya. There is a small bad of "men" on the island whose main source of income is leeching on the tourist women. Same as everywhere. I think its a really good idea to rove around in packs of animals/friends. Safety in numbers, I am told.

Jeez, SS, you sure know how to take the fun out of things! However that 101 course yer talkin' about, I think it could be a healthy addition to our very own Chemistry 205 offering "Distilled Spirits. Proper Usage and Life Altering Combinations". Classes recommence Sunday, October 29th, 3 p.m., at a beachside bar nearest you. Tution is nominal, admission is non-secular, previous experience helpful.

janeinpa can attest to the devotion of the instructional staff and the results. She did not stay for the graduate program, which is a shame. The only minor glitch in the program occured when the "classroom" temporarily was out of certain instructional materials. She can also attest to the level of concern registered, and attention paid until the matter was quickly resolved. (We ran out of Tanqueray).

choochoo speaks the truth (and it took them like an hour to get more tanqueray).
we didnt stay cause i played volleyball at paradise villas while f drank at their bar. also stopped in town to pick up some cane juice and juego de pina then catch the water taxi back. all you had to do was stumble home.
ss - i went to high school in the 70's and every thing was free and easy, life was a party. when i'm old like choochoo( hahaha) and my kids are grown maybe i can do it again too!!

Those that prey on unattached women are definately there. Had to laugh at my husband... We were out shopping and two teenage girls, both coonies from LA like himself, were being followed by a pack of "dogs". Horrible. They were traveling alone and only 17 years old. (NO PARENTS!!!) My husband had a fit. He said, "If those were my daughters, I would want someone to step in", so he talked to them about the danger they were in, and offered them a ride back home. When we went out later that week, they always came and sat at our table with us. For protection I think. Poor things. They were both real sweet girls, and in a little over their heads......

Deb, your husband is a good man, stepping in like that, most would not. I noticed those guys around. They would speak to me when I was walking alone, calling me GRANDMA, I would respond by saying HI SON,and kept walking. When with Husband, they spoke to us differently.
It is like anywhere, one has to be on guard, to stay safe.

OMG.....They ran out of Tanqueray? That's tragic!! Hope they keep it stocked better in March. I have to admit, it's my favorite. In fact the little pub I frequent here at home called the Fox & Firkin is actually thinking of changing the name of the drink from the "T&T" to "The Rhonda" (maybe I frequent there to much??.....LOL)

Sunkissed,
The Teaching Assistants did a good job of replenishing the required instructional materials. Things will be fine in March. we will be there the end of that month to make doubly sure.

OK...take the Tanqueray (you're half way there right now) toss in an equal amount of Bombay Blue, then a little bit of the funny blue liquour. The bar will soon change the name of the drink to "So Help Me Rhonda". I guarantee it. Have fun. (Sounds like you already do)
