Befor going to Barns Noble to do the research I thought I'd ask THE people!
I'm not going to enjoy this winter in SNOW!
I have had enough!
Questions: Business start-up?
Restaurants on the beach?
Import-Export?
What is needed besides vets?
Cost of living?, Housing?, Passport?, Stability in Government?
Economy?
Any links to this site to help?
Thanks
Lorenzo

Lorenzo...try these sites for info then take an exploratory trip (very necessary). Stay for a month or two if you can. There are always opportunities to start new business or buy into present businesses but things change from day to day. "Find a need and fill it", is a useful quote I use.
//ambergriscaye.com/pages/town/immigrationpolicy.html (Immigration Policy)
http://www.belizereport.com/info/enrq_wkpmt.html (Entry requirements and Workpermits)
http://belize.org/html/big/glance.html (Belize Investment Guide)
//ambergriscaye.com/economics/ (Belize Investment Guide Contents)

These should give you a good start and they have links to other sites.

Lorenzo,

You might also check the Living in Belize section of our Web edition of Belize First Magazine (http://www.turq.com/belizefirst). It has candid, ad-free information. Our News Round-Up section also has news on recent developments in retirement residency and worker permit laws in Belize.

My new book, Live Well in Belize, covering relocation, retirement and investing/property purchase/business start-ups in Belize, will be published by Avalon next year (they also do the Rick Steves Europe Through the Back Door and the Moon Handbook Guides).

I've interviewed a large number of people who have bought property in Belize or who have started businesses there. Their unvarnished views will be included in the book.
