I am looking at taking my first trip to AC in Feb. and have a couple of questions for you seasoned travelers.

1. Any suggestions for affordable accomodations? I'm not looking for fancy upscale places. Just need bed, bath and minor stuff like refridgerator/coffee maker would be nice but not absolutely necessary.(Budget trip planned!)
2. What's the comfort level for a female traveling solo like there?

I know Tammy and the rest of the "Big Brothers" must be tired of saying this, so...
Try one of the Front St. hotels: Coral Beach, Ruby's, etc., etc...they run from between $15 and $65 US, depending on what it is you want in the room.
As a female travelling alone, you can expect more attention than you would if you were escorted, but it's highly unlikely anyone will bother you past mildly annoying attentions/comments or leers. If you live in the States, you're used to that, anyway!
