Sargasso - 09/19/14 02:53 PM

I've been looking up prior histories for the abundant amount that we are receiving this year. I'm sure there are many of you who can explain the cycle much better than the internet.

This one is a different I'd suggest. Our usual invasion is earlier in the year - May? - and comes from The Bermuda Triangle where the currents converge and form a mass of weed and rubbish the size of a large US State and once a year as the world currents switch we get a ton.

The big difference with this dump is the timing and this is just weed with virtually no rubbish. So I'd guess this load is from a different source due to some weird change in current or maybe the Planet is about to explode.

I could go with the planet about to explode but the Sargasso sea is like an eddie in the Atlantic, held in place by the Gulf Stream and North Atlantic currents. When we have a good storm pass across it a lot of the stuff trapped floating on its normally becalmed surface, escapes and floats to shorelines. more frequent and bigger storms, more floating stuff escapes. Early this season a couple of doozies came off the coast of Africa and went North, disturbing the seas vortex.
One of the most interesting movies I've seen in a long while is called Turtle: The Incredible Journey (2009) http://www.imdb.com/media/rm4278490112/tt0970521?ref_=tt_ov_i
I follows a newly hatched turtle that catches the Gulf Stream and arrives in the Sargasso sea to mature in it's protection before challenging the world.
Really made me appreciate the mystery of the Sargasso but it still smells terrible.
They sell the DVD in town.
