What Species of sharks can be found off of AC? Nurse Sharks, obviously, but what else? And where are some good spots beside Shark Ray Alley to see them?

A good friend, long time San Pedro diver and photographer, says:

I'm more into common names, but I know of sightings of the following:

gray reef sharks
blacktip
bull
hammerhead
lemon
dusky
whale shark

There are no good spots to see them. You just get lucky, or you don't.
This ain't SeaWorld.

Most sharks are not territorial, so they tend to move around, making sightings irregular.

Fronna3,

I was just in AC 2 weeks ago. If you dive, be sure to go to the Blue Hole. There were several sharks, Carribbean Reef sharks and Bull sharks when we were diving the hole. We saw them below us when we were at 140 ft., but then they came up as we went up and we had about 8 to 10 of them swimming around at 20ft. It was really cool to see them like that! Have fun!
