Noise Ban - 10/19/18 05:36 PM
I wonder if they are going to enforce this.
If they refuse extensions late into the night it's a very good thing. Not just about noise, but it can slow down the amount of other bad stuff that happens between 2-5 AM due to overindulgence whilst "socializing."

Diane I agree 100%. ...We are behind this Family Friendly Initiative. The noise levels in town can be staggering in the late evening. Each beach side bar competing for Tourist Attention via extra loud BASS simply makes us all look bad. On Bourbon Street in Louisiana during Mardi-Gras is not as convoluted..... A few years ago some of the Nightclubs downtown sound proofed their buildings and you can barely hear a whisper when walking by...... There has to be a solution for the outdoor bar, aside from blasting their speakers louder than the place next door. This ordinance is about allowing people who live near these places to be able to sleep or enjoy their family evenings without noise intrusion from a block away.
