does anyone know if belize imposes a duty upon either "books" or "catalogues" shipped from the usa to belize? thanks for the help

If you mail them in small packages, and they FEEL like books and you write "EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL" on the package, they probably wont charge the receiver any duty, however you never can be sure, its a case-by-case decision. If you're mailing to a school, probably no duty will be charged. But I just talked to a friend who paid 99 cents for a CD and was charged $6 duty, and was sent a small package of fabric softner sheets and was charged $4.50 in duty because even though they didnt open the package, the customs inspector "thought" it felt like clothing. Go figure that one.
