The Perfect Hamburger - 08/14/08 12:33 AM

1 lb. ground chuck
2 tablespoons finely chopped yellow onion
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 or 2 dashes worcestershire sauce

In a large bowl, mix the beef, onion, garlic, salt, pepper and the Worcestershire sauce. Form the mixture into four patties, each three-quarters of an inch thick.
Grill the burgers over medium-high heat, turning once, 3 to 5 minutes on each side.
For the last 2 minutes toast the buns, cut side down,on the grill over high heat.

For Asian burgers, you omit the worcestershire and add a dash of soy.

For French burgers, omit the worcestershire , halve the salt and add a tablespoon each of blue cheese and chopped mushrooms along with a dash of red wine.

These are my absolute favorite hamburgers:

Korean Hamburgers

1 lb ground beef
4 tbsps soy sauce
2 tbsps sugar
1 tbsp sesame seed
1 tbsp sesame oil
3 tbsps chopped green onions
2 tbsps minced garlic
salt & pepper

Mix all ingredients thoroughly, shape into 4 patties and grill.
These also work great when made very tiny and served as appetizers.

Here's my favorite:

Drive to Carls Jr: order something huge

Drive to Beer Barn: order 6 pack of Henikin

go home..watch NASCAR

For long races, repeat after 300 miles, but have Mrs Pug drive smile

TV Tom has a great recipe for hamburgers.....unfortunately I can't remember it......I think I was on my 12th or 13th Belikin when he gave it to me. If any of you run in to him be sure to ask for it.
