Hard early morning rains have left Ambergris Caye under a heavy overcast. Our expected high is 87. The sea is calm.

Heavy, prolonged rain over much of Belize last night. ... Belmopan 25mm ( 1" ). . . . The worst of that rain has now passed, there is still rain around Belize, but now light rain in smaller patches.. . .There is still heavy rain developing over the Sea, but does not appear to be moving. That very heavy ITCZ over Toledo early this morning, has now dispersed, just a little bit out at sea, but even that clearing later today.

So I am expecting Overcast for this morning, with a few isolated straggling showers, anywhere, but mainly in the south, clearing later and even possibly some sun appearing this afternoon.

That Hurricane Gonzalo is now a Cat.4 and has turned towards Bermuda.

That cleared rain is now being replaced by increasing rain, all over Belize, this appears to be, being squeezed out by a low pressure centre to our west in Guatamala, so rain coming in from Guatamala in the South of Belize, but from the Sea over North Belize.

The Satellite picture is not showing this activity, showing cloud thinning, although it is showing some cloud in Guatamala.

But the Satellite does not show low pressure centres.. . . . It is not clear when, or if this rain will ease off or get worse today.
