From Belmopan...
The weather is certainly dipping towards the Winter now.. . . .There is usual no single indicator, but an overall general lowering of temperature trends.
The dotted lines show the 12 year long term average temperatures, the thin red and blue lines show the actual maximum and minimum daily temperatures. . . .And the heavy red and blue lines show the 31 day smoothed average temperatures. . . .The last 15 days can't show this yet.. . . .The Green line is only the Median between these max and min temperatures, it actually has little significance, it will not represent the actual days Average temperature, but it is used by many authorities when quoting temperatures.

The Rainfall graph is more complex. . ..The blue line and dotted blue lines actually mean nothing, they just join the monthly triangles. . . . .The white triangles show the long term typical Monthly average rainfall. . .. .The filled in blue triangles show the actual Monthly rainfall for 2014.
Then there is the light blue line, which fairly closely represents the Water in the ground near the surface, that grass and other small plants can get. . .. The light green line represents the Water deeper in the ground that larger plants and trees can access. . . . .The dark Blue vertical lines are the real Daily Rainfall as measured in North Belmopan, which are usually very erratic, the scale is shown in mm/day on the Left and in/day on the Right. . . . . Those other 4 lines are actually drawn at 1/5 scale, since they are Monthly figures, to be able to show them on the same graph. . . . . .This year, we had a unusually very long dry season, absolutely no rain in April at all, very unusual. . . . Then we had very significant rain early in May, also very unusual.. .. .But then again, some years there is no clear dry season and some years, no clear distinct wet season. . .The highest single days rain I and other have recorded in Belmopan was 156 mm ( >6" ) in just one day, not seen in over 10 years.
