Belize NMS: A relatively dry easterly to southeasterly airflow will continue to prevail today. An increase in moisture is expected over the area towards the start of the weekend as a weak tropical wave approaches the area.
24-hour forecast: Sunny today, showers or thunderstorms will be isolated, and then a few showers and isolated thunderstorms will begin affecting mainly southern and some coastal areas late tonight. Partly cloudy skies tonight and mostly sunny skies tomorrow. A few showers or thunderstorms will affect mainly southern areas tonight. Elsewhere, showers will isolated.

Tropical Weather Outlook: A strong tropical wave is located about 170 miles east of Barbados and is producing winds near tropical storm force, while thunderstorm activity continues to show signs of organization. This system has a high chance of becoming a tropical depression or tropical storm later today as it moves westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph.
