General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: A gusty east-southeasterly airflow will dominate our weather during the next 24 hours.
Advisories: *Small Craft Caution in effect for occasional gusty winds and rough seas.*
24-hour forecast: Mostly sunny skies today and partly cloudy to clear skies tonight. Little or no rainfall is expected.

General Outlook: Some cloudy spells with isolated showers and isolated thunderstorms developing inland Sunday afternoon, then a few showers and thunderstorms mostly over the south and coast Sunday night.

The Caribbean Sea

Clouds with low-topped showers are moving across the eastern and northern Caribbean. Showers are continue to move throughout the Greater Antilles. Showers are also seen moving across the Windward Islands. Trade winds are moderate to fresh in the eastern Caribbean with gentle trades across the northern and southern basin. Near the Gulf of Honduras, winds are fresh to strong particularly north of Honduras.

Fresh to strong southeast winds in the far western Caribbean and Gulf of Honduras will continue through Sunday then diminish by Sunday night. Fresh to strong winds in the south-central Caribbean near the coast of Colombia will persist through Wednesday night.

On Ambergris Caye this morning the wind is from the Southeast at 25 mph. The sea around our barrier reef is rough. We have an Advisory: *Small Craft Caution in effect for occasional gusty winds and rough seas.* It's a sunny day with an expected high temperature of 86 f.

There is no high level cloud around at present or any rain anywhere near Belize. The smoke has now covered the whole of the western Caribbean, Yucatan and much of the Gulf of Mexico. There is also some warm air pushing up from the south. The hottest night of the year.

Looks like today will be another muggy day, mainly hazy sunshine with some clouds in the north, few in the south.
I can't be sure, but I get the feeling there could be some significant swellups and possibly some rain this afternoon, just a chance.
