The Caribbean Sea

A cold front extends from central Cuba near 21N78W to NE Honduras near 15N83W. Scattered showers are within 90 nm of the front. Further south, scattered showers prevail south of 13N and W of 80W. ASCAT data suggest moderate to fresh north to northwest winds behind the front in the NW Caribbean, while moderate to fresh trades prevail over the remainder of the basin.

The front will weaken and become stationary tonight and Wed then dissipate Wed night. Fresh to strong northerly winds are expected west of the front near the coast of Nicaragua tonight and Wed. Winds and seas will diminish across the central Caribbean Wed and Thu.

On Ambergris Caye this morning it's clear and calm. The sea around our barrier reef is flat. Today's expected high temperature is 78 f. A perfect day to be on a boat.

The cold front has moved well away from Belize into the Caribbean, cold air streaming down from the NNW Most of Belize is now clear of any clouds, except the tip of southern Belize, where it looks like fog, which will be clearing later. Some clouds will probably start to form later this morning, there is cloud up north also moving our way. I am not expecting any rain from this.

Looks like today will be mainly sunny, with some white clouds forming later, no rain expected.
