CELEBRITY SPOTTING
The popular Techno Cumbia singer from Peru, Rossy War, is back on La Isla Bonita! She is taking a few days off, after participating at the 3rd Annual President's Endowment Fund fete of the University of Belize on Saturday, October 26th. Held at the Muffles Junior College, Orange Walk Town, all proceeds of the event went toward student scholarships.
Rossy shared the stage with Belizean bands Super Furia Band and Gilharry 7 Band. The renown singer of hits like 'Que te perdone Dios,' and 'Como un dulce Poema,' arrived to Ambergris Caye on Sunday, October 27th, was welcomed by the Arceo family along with enthusiastic fans.

Tecuani and the Duende Screening in Belmopan
We have received many requests for a Belmopan screening of Tecuani and the Duende - The Voice of the Jaguar, Belize's first animated movie short. SO we are delighted to announce a screening at none other than the JAGUAR auditorium at University of Belize.

Accident near Orange Walk
Two men were seriously injured following a road traffic accident earlier tonight in the Orange Walk District. Jose and Artemio Yam were on a motorcycle when they reported lost control and crashed into a guardrail in San Lazaro Village. The men were taken to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
There are reports of another accident in Blue Creek Village involving a red pickup truck. The driver was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital for treatment.
Decapitated body found this morning in the Cayo District
Reports are that the body was found between miles forty five abs forty six on the George Price Highway on the outskirts of Belmopan.

We have received reports that the person whose decapitated body was discovered this morning near Belmopan is that of Roaring Creek resident, Michael "Wangsta" Gladden.
Vehicle Runs Into River in Cayo @ San Ignacio Bridge
The Reporter has received reports that a vehicle slipped off the wooden bridge that connects Santa Elena with San Ignacio and that heavy duty equipment is now trying to salvage the vehicle.

ACCIDENTS IN CAYO
A Toyota Rav4 travelling from San Ignacio to Benque ran off the road shortly before 5:00 this morning. The incident happened across the Huayon Supermarket in San Jose, Succotz, Cayo District. Another car accident occurred on the outskirts of Benque Viejo Del Carmen, Cayo District. A dark grey Toyota Matrix was traveling from from Benque to San Ignacio when the driver lost control and drove into the dry Creek. The incident occurred across Alex Supermarket The driver was not injured during the accident.
BODY FOUND
Love News has received information of a body found sometime this morning between miles 45 and 46 on the George Price Highway. We understand that authorities are at the scene.
ARMED ROBBERY
Love News has received reports that Dario's Meat pie Manager, Nicole Perdomo, was robbed just a few moments ago. According to reports Perdomo was with her mother on the second floor of the establishment when two dark males, one armed, approached them and robbed $12,000 and $8,000 USD. The men then fled the scene running off towards Barrack Road. Perdomo did sustain some injuries.
FREAK ACCIDENT IN THE CITY
Love News has received information of two women who fell off a building church street near a barber shop. We understand that the two women were on the veranda of the upper flat of the two story building when it reportedly caved in. They have been taken to the Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital.

A Google Earth Update and MAN Has This Island Changed in 3 Years!
But from massive projects on the island like La Sirene at the southern tip to the quarry up north�you don't need to be a nuclear cartographer (that might be a made-up career) to see that a TON is going on.
Here are a few things I've noticed. You can play around with Google Earth - I used Pro - which is an easy download. It's fun to be a spy guy.
I took some screen shots - I wish I could give you some awesome links but I'm very low level tech.
Here's the quarry - where you see all those BIG TRUCKS coming from at about 8.5 miles north Ambergris Caye. You can also see the large lot that was cleared in the mangroves for the potential - planned - (alleged?) high school that will be built up there.
And the future area of San Pedro Norte.
The areas mined for fill have left deep clear lakes.

A world of Rotary community work from Edmonton couple
An Edmonton couple who sent four ambulances and a fire truck off to help third-world Belize communities has just heard back about how busy two of the vehicles have been.
"Two babies were born in one of the two ambulances we know went into service this month," said realtor Sandra Bayrock, who organized the shipment of ambulances with chiropractor husband Dr. Roman Bayrock and fellow Edmonton's Riverview Rotary Club members.
"Successful CPR was also carried out during the ambulance's first 17 calls while patients were being taken to hospital in the southern community of Dangriga."
Divali Queen Show
THIS year, the National Council for Indian Culture (NCIC) opted to do an international Divali Queen show with contestants representing six countries.
Delegates from TT, Jamaica, Suriname, Guyana, Canada and Belize participated in the competition.
In previous years, more than one local girl was allowed to participate, however, this year there was only one girl for each of the six countries.
The competition was held at the Divali Nagar site in Chaguanas, on Friday night.
