Contact tracing continued through the weekend and the 3 actives clusters out of San Pedro continue to be monitored, we should be providing further details on this within 12 hours.

Proper disposal of fish scraps
he proper disposal of fish scraps. With an increasing population of people living in close proximity to wildlife in San Pedro, we now have to alter some of our habits for the safety of our community. While discarding fish scraps into the water off of docks seems like a harmless practice, we are seeing increased issues with the behavior of wildlife, particularly around homes and areas where people congregate for recreation (i.e., swim). When you toss fish scraps into the water, the smell and taste in the water attracts other critters, like crocodiles and sea birds.

We are currently ranked #150 in terms of cases per million population rate and these numbers change for all countries as we move along with the pandemic. In terms of testing rate we are ranked #145, similar to the testing rates in neighbouring Honduras and Guatemala and higher than that of Mexico. Since our first case identified more than 4 months ago, find attached how our curves look, also compared to some of our Caribbean sister countries. Only we can flatten this curve!

Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary & Jaguar Preserve
The world’s FIRST Jaguar Preserve — is chock full of jungle hiking, river tubing, and other outdoor adventures. So…how about jaguars? We head to there to find out! After crashing our plane in the middle of a jungle full of jaguars, we set out to find camp…and some cold beers. Actually, that is not our plane (hard to believe, I’m sure), but was chartered in the 1980s by one Dr. Alan Rabinowitz, an American zoologist, conservationist and adventurer who established the world’s first jaguar preserve, Belize’s very own Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary — our Southern Belize getaway destination for the weekend.

What is the One-Time Cost of Moving to Belize?
Americans, Canadians and Europeans are increasingly choosing to retire in Belize. There are several reasons for this. Belize used to be a British colony and is currently still part of the British Commonwealth. This means that the official language is English and the legal system is based on the British code. The currency is also pegged to the US dollar at 2 Belize dollars for 1 US dollar. Expats also appreciate the tropical climate, the enchanting natural surroundings and the friendly people. Here, they can afford to live their dream lifestyle. The cost to live in Belize is reasonable and many foreigners find they can afford waterfront property. While the cost to live in Belize is very reasonable, you may wonder if it’s expensive to move here. The answer to this question depends on many factors.
