Saga Animal Society - 08/29/04 10:13 PM

Hi, I saw the link to Saga Animal Society on this site - are there any readers from AC who can give me information on their location, and whether they keep regular hours? We're headed to AC on Thursday & I'd like to pick up a few t-shirts or whatever they may have available in lieu of the regular tourist stuff we usually tote home. Thanks!

Contact Eileen at the San Pedro Sun, I am sure she can help you out.

We pick up a few tank tops every trip, and calendars if they happen to have them that year. And make a little donation. We go to the vets office, across from Ramons. Follow the street south from the Tropic terminal towards the supermarket. The vet is in a house just past the big golf cart place on the right. I believe it was the first house after the cart yard. Saga is one of the few outfits I have no problem donating a few bucks to.

Look for the sign on the white fence in front of the house. When we were there in July they were out of shirts.

The clinic is open from Monday through Thursday 8-12, Fridays, when the vet is in town, the hours are 8-12 and 1-5.

Adoptable pets are kept in a separate location and visits can be arranged at the clinic during working hours. This year 6 dogs have been shipped to the States through the efforts of Saga and Kathy Marin of Pampered Paws.

"Island" dogs make the most devoted and loving pets. So, if you're in the area, drop by and see if you can't resist falling in love with one of the dogs.

P.S. We have lots of shirts now.
