Sorry, couldn't resist
Can't wait to try it....
Right-wing conservatism and extra Mennonite cheese.
yick! :p
CatMo - just get me a beer would ya!
yummmmmmmmm! I'll have shrimp & lobster pizza!!!
Oooo. Shrimp and lobster sounds yummy. I like hot peppers, sausage and mushrooms.
no pineapple and plenty of jalapenos & extra anchovies!
damn law -- you got good taste.
Hey there Otter, I'd share a pizza with you anytime!
I like the works hold the ground beef.
Pizza should only have cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms or green peppers on it.
Otter...If you are ever in the vicinity of Brookfield, Ohio, right on the PA state line across from Sharon...order a "Hilltop Pizza" with "peps and shrooms". 330-448-8183
It's the best Pizza on Earth! No disrespect to Pedro or all the Jersey boys that are gonna pipe up about their favorites!!!
Shrimp and Lobster TQ???
That is SO Californian!!!!!
reaper, but I didn't order sprouts and avocado on it...
reaper! and I thought you had a sense of adventure!! :p
conch pizza from Coconuts in San Pedro! MMMMM
Yo Otter, I was in Brooklyn just this afternoon, I wish I had read this post this morning, as I could have picked up and shipped you the very best pizza on earth. :p
I have a great sense of adventure Law, but pizza is pizza. If I want lobster or mango or shrimp or sprouts or pineapple and ham I order it...separate!!!!!
Pizza is Pizza!!!
What's next?
Cashews and Bananas on Texas BBQ ribs???
Srawberries and Carrots on Chili Dogs????
Sushi and Ham on Tacos???
Pizza is Pizza...thick crust, tomato sauce with lots of garlic and oregano, cheese, peps, shrooms and maybe some green peppers.
Thin crust, cheese in the crust, sauce on the top, toppings on the bottom, veggie pizza(YUK), meat lovers, cashews, sprouts, seafood, Hawaiian(what the hell do they know about pizza there??), It never ends!!!
Grew up East Coast and have lived in SoCal for 23 years...only one or two good pizza joints here! I went to a "California Pizza Kitchen" once and about fell over! $25 for a pizza!!!! ten years ago!!!!!! And they put...PEANUTS on their PIZZA!!!! AAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!
reaper -- have to give it a whirl next time I'm travelling through.
Have to admit sometimes I just want PIZZA -- good ol traditional za. However, I do like to be adventurous too
Ask Mrs. Otter
Otter...10 minutes off of I-80 at the PA line. I'll be there this weekend for a family reunion AND stopping at Hilltop Pizza about FOUR times!
RI Beth...how is life in the "real (yuk) world'???
Deacon...where do you and Pops go for good pizza around SD???
2 miles. Try Nunzio's in Long Branch when you get a chance. Also John's pizzeria in Midtown on 44 st. NYC. It's an old cathedral renovated into a pizzeria. Both are excellant. and Reaper please, what does a California boy no about pizza... :p
LBI Jerseyboy...you didn't read the fine print!
Born in Pittsburgh, grew up just north in the Shenango Valley, a steeltown full of great pizza joints!
Went to Ocean City, NJ every summer to the relatives house.
Traveled the Eastern Seaboard and Canada playing hockey.
I know pizza!!!!!
Hey Reaper:
The real world is somewhat better than "yuk", but not the same as paradise.
Supposed to go the the US Womens Golf Open tomorrow in Newport but it will probably get rained or mudded (?) out. Weather here is just crud right now. You can bring it home with you, if you like.
Maybe they'll have to play water polo instead!
I was in Vegas for a wedding last weekend. 116!
I'm at the Fire Dept. today and it's about 102!
I'm off to PA for the holiday weekend for some golf and family reunion action.
Stay dry!!!!
I forgot to ask...is there good pizza in RI????
Reaper, while in Pgh. got to go to the Oyster House in Market Sqare. Best fish on a bun ever.
Fabulous pizza in RI of course.... most pizza places here are run by Greek families - so we get all the other goodies that go along with that like baklava, gyros and spinach pies.
RI Beth, Sounds yummy! I love Baklava!
Deacon...when in the 'Burgh I can be found downing a Permani Brothers sandwich...the best!
Maybe we should start a boarders "Best Of" dining list!
RI Beth, when we meet again I would really like a piece of true baklava.
Ok Reaper I'll give you some credit. At least you're east of the Mississippi. Enjoy the family reunion. Be careful with the fireworks. I should know, I nearly lit my little nieces and nephews on fire when a 1/2 ounce bottle rocket went astray
job security! Be carefull!
Hey Deacon - will do my best. Finding phyllo dough on AC might be tricky though!
Just put a slide in your purse.
I'm lost.
Slide ?? Musical reference?
sorry slice
still got some 1 barrel
Ha!
Cool
Reaper, I was stationed at a small radar base (air force) in Brookfield in 1958 and haven't heard the name of that town since I left. Brought back good memories!!!
Amazing what you can get now! Thanks! B
I don't mean to brag but........ Texas, Houston in particular, has anything you want and more! I mean the best of the best of the best and there are soooooooooo many good resturants and soooooooo many good grocery stores and sooooooooooooo much good food that you guys can go on and on and on but until you spend some time here, you have no clue!
Just thought I'd clear up any confusion about food.
However, if anyone wants to come here to open a Crepe Stand, I welcome you!!! That's the ONLY thing we lack.
NY Pizza is the only one worth eating! Texas was good for mexican & BBQ but forget pizza.
We have some good steaks too.
Barbara, I love Taos!!! Lucky you!
Spyder, the radar facility was turned into a county nursing home long ago, I haven't been out there in years. Maybe I'll drive by this weekend and see what is there now. It is situated on the highest ground in the County, that's why the radar base was built there.
Any good Pizza in Florida??
Interesting, I was there for a year. Saw my first snowfall there.
The "15 South on St. Armands Key and the Meditteranio in downtown Sarasota do a pretty good jop on the pie.
Reaper, you are right, best sandwich I know of. It was voted #8 for best "Pig Out" places to eat on the Travel channel.
OK, everyone has there favorite place for pizza. Now, thick or thin crust?
TQ - I don't live in Taos any longer. In NY now. Had to move for the pizza - ha ha! Guess I need to change my profile! Yes TX steaks are good and the price of the organic beef (no hormones, no antibiotics) is WAY better than in NY. Prohibitively expensive here - that's why I'm eating pizza instead! I don't miss much about TX but I do miss the cost of living compared to NY!!!! Ya get what ya pay for...
LBI, You are correct about both places, Nunzio's in Long Branch and I've even had it at johns in the theater district. Very reasonable prices at both places. Have you been to long branch lately? Many changes on the beach front Looks great but One bedroom condos start around 500k.

Good one deacooon.
Ever had a Neapolitan in Naples? ( NO NOT FLORIDA! :p )..thin crust, fresh mozzy & vine ripened tomatoes, oregano & garlic mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Great little place on the water, name escapes me right now, just up the street a couple of blocks from Castel Dell'Ovo
Grew up on grandma's thick pan type never knew there was any other type till I was 13 or so. I still love pan but there is something to be said for the flat NY style.
Bronx pizza in Hillcrest area, San Diego
Ever had pizza in Italy? Woh. It's not what I expected.
I agree, Otter. They might have invented it, but we perfected it!
