We will be arriving in san pedro on friday and staying until next thursday! Looking very forward to this as it is the first time in belize and the first vacation for me and the wife in over 3 years! Our friends we are coming with are regulars down there and I am sure we will be meeting many of you.I do have a few questions:
1: is there any way to rent a cell phone or is a calling card better?
2: any places you would recommend to rent personal water craft ie waverunners for a day or 2 that is reasonable?

You can rent cell phones at the International airport but if you have a GSM phone you use in the states it should work here.

You can rent waverunners in town but its by the hour. I'm not sure how much they are now but when I rented one several years ago it was about $60US/Hr. A couple days will cost you mucho dinero.

Mr C's on Middle Street rents cell phones too, and there was a guy from Quality Chicken(?) renting out two jetskis from the river - just down from where Riverside was for a lot less than the US$90 per hour they were last season.
