Shariah Law - 02/07/08 10:02 PM
The Archbishop of Canterbury, the head (CEO) of the Anglican church in England, has just said that he thinks (aspects of) Shariah law should be introduced in Britain. Don't know what the Queen (Chairman) has to say about it.
Do you think Shariah Law should be introduced wherever there are Muslims living?

Isn't the law supposed to apply to everyone equally? If so, this might be interesting. Personally, I think it is BS. If people come to your country, let them abide by your laws. If they don't want to, let them go home.

I wasn't sure it was a serious question . . if it was, Bobber sums it up. And besides, which aspects, and who gets to choose? I doubt if England is ready to adopt stoning.
A Sharn' Law??? That anything like "share and share" alike??
Just kidding...
That law seems a bit on the "extreme" side to me... JMHO

Sure, no problem, just as soon as they adopt spiked heels, mini skirts and Belikin in Sadar City!

Having lived in Saudi for 4 years, it is ABUNDENTLY clear to me that the ArchBishop has his head in a very dark place and has NEVER READ the Koran. This should be Required reading for every person who has any political ambitions.

The good archbishop backed his ass up real quick with the reaction he got from his comments my say is if you want to live in a country other than the one you originated from then you conform and abide by the laws of that country or go back to where you came from.
We all know what the ultimate shariah goal is

http://www.thereligionofpeace.comI know very peaceful and tolerant Mulsims, but croc is correct -- there is a very specific goal of those who would impose shariah law on others

PC is the art of not offending those who don't particularly care if they offend you. Bit of a copout in my mind.

Nice one Bobber: Run with this for a while!
I have to be nice this week, as I may be meeting some of the folks I've spent the last few months offending at dinner next week!

Have a good trip, I'm sure you will get along fine. They are a diverse, but great group.

And, Belikin is the great equalizer. I'll bet most of the world's problems could be solved on a tiny island over a few brews.
