No, not the name of a new resort. Check out to see an Airbus tipping over onto a wingtip as it tried to land in high winds.

That Pilot and co-Pilot deserve a raise. Wonderful recovery from what could have been a disaster.
My hats off to them.
Crabbing in is never fun, and they got the extreme.

Reminds me of a very scary few minutes before landing that I experienced years ago in Orange County - wild wind shear - thought we were going to be blown over sideways.

I was a passenger on a jet that landed at Aberdeen Airport in Scotland some years back. We landed on one main wheel with the other side at least 20 degrees up, and stayed that way for half the runway length until we lost enough speed for the whole plane to settle. The few pilots on board (myself included) cheered wildly at a very skillful job, whereas the rest of the passengers wondered what all the fuss was about.

IMO opinion the pilot of the Airbus at Hamburg got it wrong. Once the main gear was down he should have set the ailerons to keep the right wing down, probably also set the rudder the same way, and kept the plane straight on the brakes/engines. But from the video it seems he didn't. It's not easy, but that's one reason airline pilots earn good salaries.

I suspect he wasn't that experienced landing in a strong gusty crosswind. From the video it didn't look as if the wind was above limits for the aircraft, and he did set it down successfully on the second attempt.
