Any people of Italian origin here?

Any people of Italian origin here? - 06/26/08 07:37 PM

Read about the chilling events going on in Italy. In a re-run of Mussolini's fascism, all people of Roma (gypsy) origin are to be fingerprinted. There is already widespread persecution of these people.

A government minister said the move was "to safeguard their rights".

Were the 1930's in Germany and Italy so long ago?

Well, if you go back far enough most of us are germanic, and everyone is "mixed breed". They just don't all know it, and some people like to deny it. Hitler was one notable example - how many people know that Hitler had African ancestors? I am 12.5% French. No Italian so far as I know, though I have cousins in northern Italy.

I know this was an "Italian" subject and a serious one we are not making lite of, and no hi-jack, just us cajun's recalling old times. Looks like we might have to start a new subject on Cajun food casue I did not find any raw oysters or boiled crab on Ambergris Caye.
