RIP
4-8-84 to 1-19-2-10

Down the road the day we met
you were only three days old
And even then I knew you were
a treasure to behold.
You possessed a grace of movement so smooth
That is passed through out your kin.
And knowing that if there were another class
You would have the final win.
You traveled with me through states far off
And kept your strength and grace
Although we didn't win the world
In my heart you held a special place.
So run free my lady in pastures lush
For heaven has a star
And know that my memories of you
Will never stray too far.

May she always graze in sweet green pastures.

Awww, your Tru Dixie Belle was truly gorgeous...as is your poem dedicated to her. What a wonderful friendship you two have shared.

True Love.

Every now and then, in spite of having animals all your life, one special one gets deep into your heart. When their time comes, it is sad and even devestating. Hopefully your belief system is such (as is mine) that you will be re-united in the end.

Lyd, she was blessed to have found you and you were blessed to have found her. Lives entwined and memories that can never be taken from you . . .

Some people (and pets) come into our lives and quietly go... some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never, ever the same.
Not sure who wrote it, but oh so true. Hugs to you.

DCG, So sorry to read this.

I hope you feel better soon, but just realise how lucky you are that you had Dixie Belle for as long as you did as a part of your family.

I too have experienced the heart wrenching feelings that come from the passing of much loved pets and understand how hard it is.

Dixie Belle is in a better place and will be there waiting for you when you finally arrive. (No Hurry though)

Feel Better. smile
