Dear Customers
It has been brought to my attention that you are not pleased with our
new rate hikes therefore I feel the need to correspond with you and explain
our position.
As you know, the Government of Belize has recently announced that it will
not be renewing our exclusive license. Needless to say, Lord Ashcroft
, or "The Big A" as he is affectionately known, was not very pleased with
this announcement. He has since decided that the people of Belize must
be punished for being unwilling to continue tolerating our sub-standard
service and inconsiderate policies & practices.
As CEO of BTL, I really do not have any choice but to carry out the wishes
of "The Big A". You see, it was either implement the new rates or be
fired and be replaced by someone who will. Unfortunately for you, this
was not a very tough decision for me to make. I am very well paid with
a good benefit package, not to mention my $200,000 BMW SUV. I have even
been promised a newer $300,000 model next year with the increased revenue
we are projecting with the revised rates. There is no way I would give
up all that for you, our valued customers.
Please, don't get me wrong, I really do care about you and the country
of Belize but by the same token, I don't feel guilty about my decision.
You see, "The Big A" has assured me that I'll will be able to buy back
my heart, soul, and spine with our increased profits. I believe him.
Sincerely,
Ediberto Tesucum
