Helicopter work - 01/13/11 04:46 PM

I traveled to Belize about a year and a half ago to interview for a helicopter pilot position. I was offered the position but the Peterson's seemed to have just vanished. Do you guys know of any other helicopter jobs on the island? I got the island fever.

There are no helicopter jobs available on the island. But there might be some tile laying jobs soon.

I have only laid tile in my house here in Utah. THey would probably fire me in secs smile I wonder if the island could support a small tour helicopter for 10 minute tours of the island.

If you bought your own R 44, there is currently a hangar for sale and I do think you could make a living on the island with it. You never said what kind of chopper you are profecient in.

Just getting your AOC should keep you busy here for a couple of years. JMHO

No enough to pay off your work permit anytime soon.

It is funny you mention that.I own an R44 and have about 600hrs in one. I have heard that it is tough getting an aircraft in the country. I thought a tour business would be good there.
