Ministry of Health Identify 15 COVID-19 Cases
Fifteen (15) new COVID-19 cases were identified today as a result of tracking case contacts identified over the weekend. These cases are part of a record number of 148 samples processed in one day. New cases are as follows.
Seven (7) cases have been identified in Corozal. Seven (7) cases have been detected in Orange Walk. San Pedro now has a (1) new case.
Five (5) cases are from the repatriation process and these people are under quarantine orders. Two (2) of Corozal cases are related to the case identified over the weekend and three (3) cases on Orange Walk are linked to the case identified in that district over the weekend. The remaining five (5) cases seem unrelated; however, contact tracing is being carried out to identify possible links.
For now, the Ministry of Health calls on the entire nation to stay calm and only listen to official sources of information. Ministry will continue updating the public as information becomes available.
