Can you guide me through the steps of registration and insurance after buying a car in Belize? I heard I’ll need to purchase the vehicle but get it inspected and registered in Dangriga.

Bought a flight on Maya to BZ City and the seller picked me up. From there we test drove, traded cash, bought insurance and then had the title switched over. A very long process and very different than in Canada. All in all took about 5 hours to do it all and get a lunch in. The drive back to Stann Creek was beautiful for a first timer, but man these roads can test the most professional of drivers. Took about 2.5 to 3 hours to roll into the humble abode.
