How do I take my own bike or kayak across the Belize and Mexico border and bring it back without any hassles?

We own them and paid duty 7 yrs ago. Want to take for an excursion or Trip. Also hubby needs to take his specialized bike to a shop in Chetumal.

I would take a pic at the border with the bikes. Include border staff in your pic. Then show them on way back if needed. I done that with items I take back for repair. ny time we’ve had coolers, tools etc in the car and crossed the border after going through immigration we make a stop at customs (straight through the hallway on the left). Let them know what you’ve got and they enter it into a book as documentation for when you cross back in, sometimes they go to the car to have a look sometimes not.
