Learners Permits for Driving

People who have a learners permit must follow the following laws.

1. When using a vehicle or Motorcycle,L plates must be displayed on the front and rear of the vehicle, these must have an "L" in red at least 6 inches high on a white back ground.

2. When driving a vehicle the learner must have a person with a full driving license sitting next to them, no passengers should be carried on/in the vehicle or motorcycle. People riding motorcycles do not need to be accompanied by a person holding a full license.

3. You may only drive between the hours of 6:00AM to 6:00PM.

4. You cannot drive South of Victoria House or North of the San Mateo junction.

5. When you are ready to take your driving test you should make sure that:-

a, the vehicle has "L" plates.
b, you are accompanied by a person with a full driving license. (if you turn up alone you will fail the test immediately).

c. The vehicle is fully licensed and insurance in up to date.

Failure to follow these laws will result in cancellation of your permit.
